We get a lot of questions from customers about their vehicles and what they might need. On this page, we do our best to answer the most frequently-asked ones. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call.
Q. What is the MPI winter tire program?
A. This is a fairly new program that MPI implemented to assist all drivers to acquire winter tires for their vehicle. The program offers low-interest financing, with your choice of 1, 2, 3, or 4-year payment plans. Feel free to call us for more info.
Q. I drive an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Do I still need winter tires?
A. All-wheel drive vehicles are great for avoiding getting stuck, but they do not help you stop on ice or packed down snow. Winter tires are designed for this purpose – to assist in your stopping when you need to.
Q. I’ve been hearing about direct repair on the radio. What is it?
A. Direct Repair is really Direct Estimating. In some cases, dependent upon the claim circumstances, you can attend a repair facility to get the estimate. Direct repair facilities are generally larger and might need for you to wait to get booked in for an estimate. Typically, the wait time for an appointment with MPI is about the same as with a DR shop.
Even if you said yes to the direct repair when you opened your claim, a simple phone call can get that changed back to having MPI estimate your car. For more information, please call us.
Q. MPI wants to write off my car. What if I don’t want them to?
A. Come and talk to us. We will do all we can to negotiate with MPI on your behalf.
MPI determines the repairability of your car strictly based on a dollar basis. So, for example, if insurance quality used parts are available, it will dramatically reduce the repair cost, making your vehicle repairable. We work with MPI continually to “save” vehicles from being written off.
